A Bird Identification walk  on Laverack Nature Trail was recently led by Iain Mac Leod of the Squam Lakes Natural Science Center.
The following birds were identified:

Gray Catbird                              American Goldfinch 1
Swamp Sparrow 1                     Mourning Dove  1
Veery 1                                        American Robin 1
Black-and-white Warbler 1     Common Yellowthroat  2
Common Grackle 2                   Ruby-throated Hummingbird 1    
 Common Loon 1                       Double-crested Cormorant 6
Green Heron 1                            Bald Eagle 1
Downy Woodpecker 1             Alder Flycatcher 1
